Fostering Faerie Homes

Fantasy has roots in real folk culture.

Whether or not you’ve grown up in a community that believes in faeries, it is not for the healers to depend on the opinions or experiences or others when it comes to these mystical healing spirits.

Faeries live in trees and flowers. This is a fact. The fragrance of plants is a sign of what type of faeries live there. When you get into the wild, explore the elements around natural water scapes, you will at some point be sure to have an encounter with water nymphs, or snow faeries. In the old groves, where trees are untouched, you may find mushrooms growing in a ring. Usually forests that are on hills or mountains, flower faeries belong on the elven kingdom.

Some humans even have faerie blood. Is it possible? As long as you believe and protect their homes, they will introduce themselves to you. Leave them offerings, such as pieces of silver or milk and honey. Just like bees and butterflies, our faeries friends also like to accept gifts in exchange for magical favours.

Those of us who are seeking pure light and adhering high morals, tend to have luck on our side. These are one of the little favours faeries bestow on us. They like clean, tidy homes too, and sometimes enter creative spaces where artists and musicians are making art. To help us find inspiration, they play on our senses with dreams and visions.

Believe in magic, good people always have good faeries on their side, helping them in every area of our lives. It’s a bad idea to enter into their space without respect. Instead, by planting trees we let them know that we are asking for permission to enter the magic of their realms.

In this way, my vision has been long standing around the idea of forest communities where we can allow wild and cultivated gardens of herbs and flowers to grow. Create wonderful tiny apothecaries and share resources, given that not everything grows in one place all at once. This also encourages us to travel and that’s where air and fire faeries become incredible companions for nomadic artists seeking a sound relationship with the elven realms.

It’s really not just my imagination that I have always longed for a whole world around faerie inspirations. Reminders in everything we do and how we live, makes our connection to our fae friends as real as we can have with each other.
